October, 2026:

We love you, ALBERTA

You know, believe it or not, Alberta, we in the rest of the country have heard a lot about your referendum, and not just from the CBC. And, only speaking for myself, we care.

I’m not going to get all hysterical about it, however, and actually claim that you should vote to stay in Canada because, “We love you.” I’m just going to state that with everything else going on in the world, breaking off a significant piece of the country is not a good thing. It wasn’t a good thing a year ago and it won’t be a good thing a year from now.

There has been much talk about comparisons to the Brexit referendum in the UK; that was a disaster, and half of the people who voted for Brexit — i.e., about half of 51.89% (17.4 million people, or 8.7 million of them) would vote to undo what they voted for. Yes, I know this from personal experience, and no, I’m not going to back up those exact numbers with my life, but ask a reasonable number of Brits where they stand, and if you’re lucky they’ll be honest and give you an honest answer.

And I get it, you’ve got the short end of the stick in many ways for years, and that’s not good, but I think things have changed for you. You have a conservative liberal running the country, and he is doing good things for Alberta, and I don’t think that will change at the next election. Might it change at some point in the future? Possibly, but with Carney now giving you some of the slack you haven’t been given in the past, I think it will be difficult for a future prime minister of Canada to turn around at the beginning of the next government’s term and say, “That’s enough, Alberta, get back in your cage.”

Maybe I’m wrong, but I don’t think things can change that fast.

I’ve read all ten of the questions being asked of you in the referendum on Monday. There’s lots of information about them and how they are worded. I’m not saying that any of you are too stupid to read through them all and decide carefully how you are going to answer them (although I question if anyone could plan to show up on Monday and expect to read and think about all the questions within a reasonable amount of time), but the “no to the nine” mantra is good advice. As Carney has pointed out, this isn’t a poker game where you’re trying to bluff your way to a win, and Smith seems to think that it is, despite the fact that she is even all giggly in Mark Carney’s presence and claims to support staying in Canada. Too many “yes” votes will result in Danielle Smith overplaying her hand with Ottawa, and putting Alberta in a difficult position (or positions) for years to come. You don’t need that, and the rest of us don’t need (or want) that either.

So I’ll end my plea here: Please vote, “No to the nine”, and then vote, “Alberta should remain a province in Canada.” It’s as simple as that. And then, go home and GET INVOLVED in politics in some way. Don’t just sit on your ass and watch American television all day. That’s my point, get involved in some way; don’t just sit there and let the politicians, whether they be federal or provincial or even municipal, tell you what to think. Think for yourself, and take action to support your positions.

Thank-you.

You’re fucking up the world, trump

That little war that you, the peacemaker, started eight months ago that has become a quagmire that no American president before you was smart enough to start, has really started to wreck the world’s economy. But putin, who knows how to play the long game much more than you, has bided his time, and now his little investment in a few million lives to start his non-war war, have paid off, because the weak men of the world are falling.

The weak men of the world include anyone who doesn’t have the balls to stand behind their sanctions against Russia. This, obviously, includes you.

Ukraine isn’t the country in need of a new president; those countries are the United States and Russia. Henry Kissinger must be spinning in his grave. Why? Because he can’t possibly imagine an American president, especially one who falsely claims to have such a high IQ, who can be so fucking stupid. It’s so obvious that you literally spoke to putin only a few minutes before you came out to the press and told them that Ukraine needed a new president … and that, by the way, you had made a deal with Russia to prop up the capitalist system with their communist diesel fuel. You’re so high IQ that you came right out and admitted that you’re such a loser, you need to be propped up as you head into elections that were scheduled years ago.

And even if you do succeed in lowering the American price of diesel, it won’t be by much, and it won’t be in time to make a difference in your mid-term elections. You’ll go down in history as the most greedy and desperate president in the history of your country to enter the mid-term elections.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy will be justified in laughing at you and telling you that he holds all the cards, and that you should crawl back into the hole you had the temerity to exit.

While you were on the phone to putin, did he mention that the only reason he has not flattened Ukraine is because Ukrainian troops have fought so hard against him, with brains and brawn? And that if the United States supported their allies (Ukraine) against the Russians, as the world has come to expect over the last eighty years, Ukraine would win the defence of their country next week? Seriously, you instructed Zelenskyy to stop attacking Russia’s oil refineries as if you actually had any authority over him, and then you were surprised that he actually had operational reasons to ignore you and carry on business (war) as usual. You won’t even support him, so why should he listen to you? He has actual people and governments doing all they can to support him, while you’re too busy literally blowing your load (and your ammunition) in the Middle East in a war going nowhere. Give your head a shake.

You’re only useful for your Patriot missiles at this point and, as I just said, you’re busy overspending your supply of those in your little adventure with Iran, so you’re essentially useless and that is why Zelenskyy is ignoring you. So you, America, are trying to let an anti-communist state fall to your sworn communist enemy all because your sworn enemy has managed to maintain diesel, and you now need it to attempt to win your mid-term elections.

Oh the tangled webs we weave when we try to “neutralise” an evil regime with a “quick” war that no other president was high IQ enough to start. You’re not high IQ enough to be running your country, donald trump. You should leave it to the big boys in your swamp who kind of know what they’re doing, not the least of which is knowing the difference between a friend and an enemy.
