Congratulations. You invented a new phrase. (It only really took off in 2016.) But unlike “super intelligence”, this one has stuck.
“Fake news”, by your definition, in case you didn’t know, is any news you don’t like. If someone wrote a news story, “What does it mean that donald trump is a fascist?“, you’d consider that “fake news” just based on it’s title. The content of the story might be 100% true, but because you consider it “fake news”, you’d call it “fake news”, and ban “The New Yorker” from reporting from the White House.
If you were some nobody, in charge of running a pizza parlour down the road in the middle of Tennessee, nobody would care, but instead you’re the President of the United States. People, for some reason, look up to you and think that what you say has some import. But by calling real news “fake”, you’re doing yourself a disservice.
Why are you doing yourself and your country a disservice? Because you’re leading a nation of uneducated people (with some exceptions), kept uneducated by your shoddy education system, and the uneducated will follow your bidding and blindly vote for you. And you will win. And then you get to follow the similarly uneducated Supreme Court, who stupidly said that a sitting president can do no wrong. And you will make money … which is not supposed to be the point of politics. And you will have people stroke your ego in the same way that Natalie Harp does. It’s almost unbelievable for us to watch, but you have made it believable, as the above story says.
So you’ve abridged the First Amendment to your Constitution by barring three news organisations from the White House because you don’t like what they write about you and your administration: CNN, MS NOW and Politico. So that will result in you not getting honest feedback from the American people. Believe it or not, not everyone thinks you are doing an awesome job, despite what you say to all the uneducated people, who take what you say and don’t question it. So when you lose badly in your midterm elections (I hope), you will again trot out the same “rigged” bullshit you tried to use to convince everyone that you really won the 2020 election.
You live in your own twilight world, where everyone loves you. It’s bizarre.
I weep for your country. There’s still over two years of your bullshit left.
