In the words of Jimmy Kimmel, “Shut up. Just shut up.”

There’s nobody to blame but yourself for the drubbing that the Republican Party took in Tuesday’s midterms. We were all sad when you did so well in 2024 — “triple whammy” as my gay, Irish, trump-loving ex-friend called it — and now it’s time for you to eat humble pie … which was predictable all along for anyone who’s ever read history.

Joining you two will also be my ex-friend in Texas, who I’m sure must be delighted to be living in a blue state again after leaving a blue state (Virginia) to be among like-minded MAGA morons in Texas. “Minded” being a “term of art”, because there are no actual minds involved in the term “MAGA”.

Anyway, we who predicted your inevitable fall have been gloating for the last two days, secure in the knowledge that when the pendulum swings the other way, which it inevitably will, you’ll be nowhere in sight, unless we happen to be doing a tour of famous and stupid peoples’ graves.

And for you who loves the stock market — did you notice that it jumped when you got beaten? And for some reason even the price of oil fell below US$100 a barrel! It’s as if the inanimate stock market even wanted you to feel the pain even more.

Yeah, you’ve got the power of the veto, but only someone as stupid and short-sighted as you could use that, and you will gum up the moronic American political system for the last two years of your LAME DONALD DUCK presidency, showing just how much you don’t care for the American people.

Such delicious irony. We’re looking forward to whatever trick you next pull out of your bag. Surprisingly we haven’t yet heard you say anything about a third term, but that will just be another in your long list of unconstitutional actions. We’re expecting the wounded animal to act like a wounded animal; we’re ready.

The reason we need to remember him is the same reason we need to remember any other fascist in history. That’s why you’re supposed to read and understand history before you run for office, so you don’t make the same mistakes that your predecessors have already made in the past. It’s why we teach history in schools.

As for my two ex-friends — who are “ex” of their own volition — you know who you are and I hope to welcome you back.

It’s time to take back your country, America

In one day, tomorrow, you Americans will get to exercise your democratic right to vote in the 2026 midterm elections.

As trump says, vote as if he’s on the ballot, in other words, vote for anyone else. The Republican Party does not deserve your vote because they have not stood up to the wannabe fascist dictator who is currently leading that party. If you support him turning your country into a fascist dictatorship, then by all means, vote for one of the fascist Republicans who support his policies (it will probably be your last vote), but if you don’t want to resemble Germany right after the Second World War, then don’t.

It’s pretty simple. Some things for you to consider:

  • trump has reversed 80 years of the American opposition to Communism. He now chums with the Communist dictator of Russia and thinks he’s a great man.
  • trump has not kept any of his promises. To name a few:
    • He didn’t end the war in Ukraine in the fist 24 hours. We’ve now waited over 650 24 hour periods.
    • He promised no new foreign wars, and yet you’ve been at war with Iran for about nine months now, long enough to birth a baby.
    • He promised to bring down Biden’s prices immediately. He did the opposite. Fuel prices are higher today than they were when Biden was in office.
    • He has instituted tariffs which you must pay. He pretends that foreigners pay them, to the tune of trillions of dollars, but that money comes right out of American’s pockets and American companies are suing the American government to get that money back.
  • trump and Elon Musk are toying with Ukrainian lives, turning off Starlink one minute, and turning it back on. Ukraine is an ally of the West.
  • trump is so busy using up Patriot missiles in Iran that he cannot sell any to Ukraine, who need to use then against America’s traditional enemy of Russia.
  • trump has blown apart the NATO alliance, which has been in place since the end of World War II and on which our allies base their decisions about our collective defence.
  • trump has sent ICE into American cities to kill Americans who protest against his fascism. His death toll both on Americas streets and in foreign countries is astounding.
  • Despite the Big Lie about Pizzagate, and despite promising to, he won’t even release all of the Epstein Files.

And that’s just a short list of promises broken. I’m from abroad, Canada, so my list is incomplete, because I see everything from the point of view of a foreigner, but a foreigner right next door. You yourself could give me a bigger list. He’s the ultimate “Manchurian candidate”. He says he’s working for America, but really, pretty much everything out of his mouth is a lie. It’s part of his “Big Lie” that was popularised by none other than Adolf Hitler. That should tell you something right there.

“Fake news”. Your language is fake, because you don’t know what it means

Congratulations. You invented a new phrase. (It only really took off in 2016.) But unlike “super intelligence”, this one has stuck.

“Fake news”, by your definition, in case you didn’t know, is any news you don’t like. If someone wrote a news story, “What does it mean that donald trump is a fascist?“, you’d consider that “fake news” just based on it’s title. The content of the story might be 100% true, but because you consider it “fake news”, you’d call it “fake news”, and ban “The New Yorker” from reporting from the White House.

If you were some nobody, in charge of running a pizza parlour down the road in the middle of Tennessee, nobody would care, but instead you’re the President of the United States. People, for some reason, look up to you and think that what you say has some import. But by calling real news “fake”, you’re doing yourself a disservice.

Why are you doing yourself and your country a disservice? Because you’re leading a nation of uneducated people (with some exceptions), kept uneducated by your shoddy education system, and the uneducated will follow your bidding and blindly vote for you. And you will win. And then you get to follow the similarly uneducated Supreme Court, who stupidly said that a sitting president can do no wrong. And you will make money … which is not supposed to be the point of politics. And you will have people stroke your ego in the same way that Natalie Harp does. It’s almost unbelievable for us to watch, but you have made it believable, as the above story says.

So you’ve abridged the First Amendment to your Constitution by barring three news organisations from the White House because you don’t like what they write about you and your administration: CNN, MS NOW and Politico. So that will result in you not getting honest feedback from the American people. Believe it or not, not everyone thinks you are doing an awesome job, despite what you say to all the uneducated people, who take what you say and don’t question it. So when you lose badly in your midterm elections (I hope), you will again trot out the same “rigged” bullshit you tried to use to convince everyone that you really won the 2020 election.

You live in your own twilight world, where everyone loves you. It’s bizarre.

I weep for your country. There’s still over two years of your bullshit left.
